Will an eviction show up on my credit report?

Last Updated: Jun 11, 2013 04:23AM UTC

Evictions do not show up on a credit report in cases when only an eviction notice is issued. However, collections or judgements as a result of an eviction can end up on your credit report. Collections and judgements follow the standard rules and will remain on your credit report for seven years.

Collections and judgements that are a result of an eviction can damage your credit score as well as make it difficult to rent another apartment.
