Until you take steps to establish and maintain a solid business credit history and your business revenue surpasses a certain financial threshold, your personal credit history will dictate your ability to get a business credit card. It is a common misconception, but if you personally sign for a business card account and/or provide your social security number on the application (which almost all business card issuers require), the card is your personal responsibility. However, it will not be reflected on your personal credit report, unless you begin to miss payments or otherwise fall into negative credit standing with your business credit card accounts.
